Tourist project "The Eastern Ring of Russia" was firstly presented at Intourmarket-2017 in Moscow

Regions of the Far East were presented for the first time at the international tourist exhibition "Intourmarket" within the collective stand "Eastern Ring of Russia". The Primorsky Territory was the initiator of the presentation format.

This year in course of the largest tourism exhibition of Russia "Intourmarket-2017", the tourist potential of the Primorsky Territory was presented as part of the federal project "The Eastern Ring of Russia".

According to the director of the Department of Tourism of the Primorsky Territory Konstantin Shestakov, the joint stand was the first joint event within the framework of the agreement on the implementation of the new project.

"The Far Eastern regions for the first time presented their tourist opportunities not as separate regions, but as part of the joint project "The Eastern Ring of Russia". This format of promotion was the first experience in the implementation of the project to create a new tourist brand. Primorye assumed the honorable responsibility of being the coordinator of the collective stand on the Intourmarket site. The stand united the tourist potential of six entities, including the Primorsky Territory, the Republic of Sakha-Yakutia and Buryatia, the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug, Magadan and Irkutsk Regions" - Konstantin Shestakov told.

The head of the department noted that the chosen format was noted by experts and representatives of Far Eastern subjects as a successful and effective way to promote tourism potential in the international and Russian markets. According to him, the regions that were not represented at the collective stand this time, such as, for example, the Kamchatka Territory, expressed a desire to further participate in the joint project.

Recall that in 2016, in the second Eastern Economic Forum, the heads of 12 constituent entities of the Russian Federation and the leadership of the Ministry of Culture and Rosturism signed an agreement on the implementation of a major interregional project "The Eastern Ring of Russia." The Primorsky Territory took upon itself an honorable duty to consolidate the ideas of thought and create a draft plan in which all the participating regions are interested.

According to the vice-governor Yevgeny Polyansky, Primorye is positioned in this project as a tourist hub, the largest number of routes pass through it, and there are all grounds: the transport and tourist infrastructure of the region is the most advanced in the Far East, and according to statistics about 70% of the total tourist flow is confirmed.

Note, the exhibition "Intourmarket" is held in Moscow from March 11 to March 13 in the congress and exhibition center "Crocus Expo". It presents the leaders of the outbound tourist flow of Russians - representatives of 12 countries, including Spain, Turkey, Greece, Bulgaria, China and others. Also at the exhibition  are represented 81 regions of Russia. According to experts, the peculiarity of Intourmarket-2017 was that for the first time the participating regions were able to organize a single exposition space based on branded tourist routes - the Golden Ring of Russia, the Great Silk Road, the Great Tea Route, Russian Manors, The Eastern Ring of Russia and others.
